A little about us. AMPT have been providing services to a wide range of clients since 2005. Primarily, we work with anxiety, depression, anger management, outpatient substance abuse/misuse, couples and individuals. We also offer ongoing court ordered classes.
Loretta D. Horn, MA, LPC. LCDC. CART, BCCC
Loretta Horn is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AMPT Up For Change, LLC a company established in 2005 to offer counseling services and court approved education classes.
AMPT is also a State License Substance Abuse Outpatient Treatment agency. Since starting the company, Loretta has acquired many specialized licenses and certifications in teaching and counseling. She is passionate and committed to empowering her clients to make positive changes to move towards a healthier and happier lifestyle.
As a breast cancer survivor, Loretta is regarded as a pillar of strength, hope, perseverance and a motivation to others. The passion to provide specialized counseling to criminal offenders, juveniles, or “at risk” families can be attributed to Loretta’s employment history in the field of Criminology and Corrections since 1991. Prior to working for Fallbrook Church as the Christian Counselor and Director of Christian Education, Loretta was employed with the United States Courts as a Federal Probation Officer, the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Treatment Specialist; and with the Harris County Courts as an Adult Probation Officer and Assistant Court Liaison Officer. She also completed an internship at Columbia Champions Center, where she worked as a counselor for children and adolescents.
She has gained invaluable, hands-on experience in dealing with high conflict cases through counseling and supervising specialized caseloads which included youthful offenders, those with mental health issues, and domestic violence.
